New Articles at BlackPast.org and in The Public Historian

I am proud to say I am a new author at BlackPast.org, a web portal reference center providing information to the general public on the history of African Americans and their worldwide ancestry.

You can check out my latest published BlackPast.org encyclopedia entries on the “Inkwell” beach sites at Santa Monica, California, and Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. These sites are only two of many which transformed this hateful moniker into a badge of pride. You can also read the BlackPast.org entry I wrote with Rick Blocker on Nick Gabaldon.

Also check out my Review: Wisconsin Black Historical Society Museum and Milwaukee’s Bronzeville Cultural Entertainment District in The Public Historian. The National Council on Public History publication offers the latest scholarship and applications in the ever expanding and increasingly international study and practice of public history.
