Also, as part of the Nick Gabaldón Day, Heal the Bay premiered its eco-surf mobile app, SurfGod HtB – produced in partnership with Torrid Games. A unique, first person game for iPhone/iPad, players surf a wave by tilting their mobile device and score points by grabbing trash out of the water as it flies by. SurfGod HtB is a fun, interactive way to teach all age groups about the problem of pollution in the ocean. The main character is inspired by surf legend Nick Gabaldón and one of the surfboards features artwork from the film, White Wash. The music for the game is by legendary Wah-Wah Watson and Tay Uhler.
